My goal as an artist is to create work that will be treasured, ensuring its survival in a throwaway society. With that in mind, I have created a series of wheel-thrown, porcelain ceramic bowls, and fragmented tiles abstractly glazed. In each piece, there is a synergy and flow between the form and the glazed surface, and they work together to create a finished piece that feels tactile in your hands or, in the case of the tiles, visually balanced.
